1. Core Material Specifications

The mainstream materials for sanitary stainless steel covers are high-purity AISI 304 and AISI 316L austenitic stainless steel, which comply with FDA, LFGB and EU food-grade safety regulations, and are recognized as GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) materials for industrial sanitary applications.
304 stainless steel, composed of 18% chromium and 8% nickel, features excellent basic corrosion resistance, ductility and formability. It can resist daily oxidation, water moisture and weak chemical corrosion, suitable for conventional sanitary production scenarios. As an upgraded version, 316L low-carbon stainless steel adds molybdenum element and adopts low-carbon formula, which significantly enhances resistance to acid, alkali, chloride and high-temperature chemical corrosion. It is more adaptable to harsh working conditions such as frequent CIP (Clean-in-Place) cleaning, high-temperature sterilization and contact with acidic and alkaline raw materials.
All sanitary stainless steel covers adopt integrated molding and precision polishing technology, with the surface roughness controlled within Ra 0.4–0.8μm. The smooth, crack-free and dead-space-free surface avoids dirt residue and bacterial adhesion, fully meeting sanitary cleaning requirements. The matching sealing gaskets are made of food-grade EPDM, NBR or silicone rubber, which are non-toxic, odorless, high-temperature resistant and aging-resistant, ensuring safe and hygienic contact with materials.

2. Key Product Features & Advantages

Superior Hygienic Performance: The seamless polished surface leaves no hidden corners for dust, bacteria or residual materials to accumulate. It supports full-automatic CIP online cleaning and SIP high-temperature sterilization, realizing zero residual pollution and effectively preventing cross-contamination in production.
Stable Sealing & Protection: Adopting precision compression sealing structure, the cover fits tightly with equipment openings to form an airtight and dustproof barrier. It can effectively isolate external dust, microorganisms and impurities, prevent material leakage, and avoid odor overflow and external air backflow, maintaining the sterile and stable internal environment of tanks, pipelines and reaction equipment.
Excellent Corrosion & Durability: The passive chromium oxide protective layer on the stainless steel surface can stably resist oxidation and corrosion from water, food ingredients, pharmaceutical raw materials and various cleaning agents. The material has high mechanical strength, impact resistance and abrasion resistance, and can withstand long-term high-temperature, high-pressure and frequent disassembly and use without deformation, rust or performance degradation, greatly reducing replacement and maintenance costs.
Safe & Non-reactive: Sanitary stainless steel is chemically inert. It will not dissolve harmful substances, nor change the taste, color and composition of contact materials, ensuring the purity and safety of food, medicine and biological products.
Easy Operation & Maintenance: The lightweight and standardized structural design enables convenient manual opening, closing and disassembly, facilitating daily equipment inspection, sampling, maintenance and manual cleaning. The material is easy to clean and dry, with no mold growth or dirt accumulation, reducing daily maintenance workload.

3. Main Functions & Applications

Sanitary stainless steel covers are mainly used for sealing and protecting openings of various sanitary-grade industrial equipment, including storage tanks, mixing tanks, fermentation tanks, pipeline ports, reaction kettles and sterilization equipment. Their core functions cover multiple production links:
First, hygienic isolation and pollution prevention. It isolates the internal production system from the external environment to block microbial invasion and ensure the aseptic state of materials in the production and storage process, which is indispensable for sterile production of pharmaceuticals, beverages and biological preparations.
Second, material safety maintenance. It prevents liquid, powder and slurry materials from splashing and leaking during processing, avoids material waste and environmental pollution, and isolates external light, air and impurities to prevent material deterioration and oxidation.
Third, auxiliary standardized production. The reserved standard opening design of the cover is convenient for installing sensors, ventilation valves, sampling ports and other accessories, realizing intelligent monitoring and standardized management of production equipment, and meeting the GMP production management requirements of the pharmaceutical and food industries.
